Instructional Practice

Beginning with the end, teachers create a goal and identify the learning objectives to be addressed and create content and assessments to journey towards this goal. This requires that teachers are able to understand and integrate assessment, planning, and instructional strategies in coordinated and engaging ways. Through implementing both summative and formative assessments teachers gain knowledge about the learners that is then integrated into instructional practices, allowing them to provide immediate feedback and modify instruction accordingly. Through these assessments and understanding of goals, the educator is able to create plans focuses on a variety of strategies that incorporate new technologies and strategies to facilitate learning in creative ways.
