The Learner and Learning

Teaching begins with the learner. Every learner is unique. The intersection of these two facts creates a necessity for educators to individualize learning to create supportive, safe, and effective learning environments that foster the learner being able to reach their highest potential. Through the combination of a background professional knowledge and an understanding of the individual being taught, teachers are able to collaborate with the learner and their surroundings to create a community of learning and implement self-directed and collaborative learning.
